Hi Half-full - the Engineers at DvbLAB are honest enough to come to your address and test the signal in your area - if poor then they can add a tiny Sat dish which enhances the signal/speed - not much more expensive !

They have to, as satellite maps used for coverage don't always tell the whole story.

All microwave providers use a small dish. Otherwise they cannot pick up the signal. It is likely they have 2 dish sizes (20-30cm) in case area is a bit weak. However do not take for granted signal, will depend where transmitter is for specific company and also your property needs a clear line of sight (no building or land rise in the way) - this is why more than often site surveys are required. Also in Quesada there are some areas where one provider interferes with another - though thats a technicians problem to worry about!

For TV, rather than pay extra €20 per month. If wanting all your UK channels, this can be also done with a satellite dish, one off payment, no subscription as opposed to €20 per month for years on end. Better picture and audio quality (original format) No additional monthly costs for multi room (still sub free) and also options of UK Sky and boxes that record etc.

I contacted Dvdlab last week and was told they are not taking on any more customers in the Quesada area until mid June . Some thing to do with having a system up grade , ( what ever that is ) . Nuisance , I'm flying over next week and wanted wifi installed at the house . Still , at least I have a good excuse to pop out and find a wifi friendly bar !

We used Dv lab when we lived in Quesada on the airstrip and it was very good, we have now moved to Benijofar closer to their office and it's not as good as before. Hopefully will improve when they extend their system at the end of June. I read a separate post on here which said they were not taking on new customers until then?

Hi - sorry to jump on this thread, I'm looking for Internet for a holiday home as well. Does anyone have contact/email addresses for these companies, also any idea how long it would take to set up as we're not arriving until late July.

Many thanks
Yvonne

This is the details of DVBlab which has been mentioned above

internet-service-providers-that-cover-quesada-and-surrounding-areas-f129/dvblab-internet-phone-and-tv-provider-t3440.html

We booked them from the UK by email and they came on time, on the day they said, just after we arrived in Spain. They took around a couple of hours but I suppose it does depend where you want your router and if the cabling is simple. We are pleased with the 'turn on turn off' service and just phone them on the day we leave the UK to turn it on and pay by credit card (19 euros a month at present) for a month. If you do it that way they just turn it off 4 weeks after you phone them for the 19 euros, whatever date you get it turned on. It works well enough for us.

There are others on this list though, if you want to check them out:
