Which is a shame as I was looking favourably to them for internet provider, as this would suit my requirements.

If paid by credit card on the day of switch on, the start date is that day and ends one month later (If paid by direct debit it's per calendar month on the switch on service). We chose to pay by credit card when we need it, which was a good factor in our decision to use them. For the information of this survey, I believe that Holiday home owners and even some residents may not usually want or need the high specification set ups that we get in the UK, as long as the service is reliable for general Internet/WiFi usage.

If the Internet company doing this survey wants to offer a competitive service, they wouldn't go far wrong in by including a basic decent set-up as a switch-on switch-off service for those who need it, like DVBlab have, alongside higher spec services for residents (with choices of speed and price like BT do in the UK). We have the top speed infinity in the UK and use it for everything including TV but in Spain we just need a decent basic WiFi set up, which we have.

Hope this helps.

I have just seen that and it says Quote " We are sorry, but for the next few months internet service is provided ONLY with our transmitted TV service."

That's a shame but it does say 'next few months' and when I emailed them recently after someone on the forum said they were not taking on new customers until August, they said they were upgrading their transmitters as they needed more space for new customers (or something like that...I don't know the technicalities???) so maybe and hopefully it is a temporary thing. Maybe give them a call and ask if it is temporary.

Sorry i'm late to the forum party with this reply.

We're with Teleast here in La Herrada. Since getting our place in 2012, we've paid €31 a month for basic TV and 3mb wireless broadband. In all, it's been fairly reliable, switch off service is free, then you pay €23 to reconnect when you want to. I tend to work from our place when we're over here visiting and although speed is not what i'm used to back at home int he UK, generally it has been acceptable.

We've been told by the guys at the office of Teleast/TVHoradada in Llos Montesinos that they are rolling out fibre to La Herrada in time for Christmas (which Christmas, we're not sure yet :P), with enhanced TV package for around €30. We'll see......

Hi. We have used Ole for a few years now with no problem until 3 months ago, The 'net and phone are constantly going off albeit for only a few minutes but no good when you are in the middle of something. The engineer came out after 2 weeks of waiting to say that nothing was wrong, I am now waiting again after a brief reply to an email sent 2 weeks ago. We pay 31 euros pm, for phone (bad connection] and hit and miss internet. I am looking to change providers.

For those who were wanting to know:

DVBlab are again open for 'internet only' installations (as well as their other installations).
