itv encore

my friend has a big satellite dish Astra and has loads of channels but cannot get itv encore or gold can anyone tell me why

If he has freesat they aren't on it. They are on Sky and freesat UK only.

not sure but she can get itvbe and itv plus 1 and 2 but not national geographic, or encore etc is what you are saying the reason, she owns the dish but doesn't pay and subscription to anyone

Then she has Freesat and ITV Encore, National Geographic, Dave nor Gold are on Freesat. Some are on Freeview in UK (non-satellite) but you need a Sky subscription to get them here.

I think a mix up between Freeview and Freesat.

Freeview is UK terrestrial TV which is picked up by terrestrial antenna in the UK, which does have gold on it.

Freesat does not have Dave, nor Gold - If satellite (required in Spain), then options with these channels are on Sky service only.


Freeview - UK only, terrestrial type antenna.
Freesat (satellite) can be picked up in Spain with a satellite dish.

I think that's what I said. Freeview in UK ( terrestrial) but not on Freesat, Sky only.

I do that all the time.
However, you are so helpful on here I hope you continue to keep up the good work. (Almost binned my Humax box the other day until you posted the signal would disappear for a bit due to the atmospheric conditions).

Buy an android iptv box and get all the channels you will ever need inc ITV encore and BBC iplayer plus latest movies and tv from USA and uk, sky too
And no subscription required
