The pros in the shop tell me that exodus loads but fails to find any source, this started on Sunday and they haven’t been able to get any kodi add on to work for two days now
Their business is selling iptv services and boxes etc and if they can’t fix the problem then who can, baffled.com!!!

updated to kodi 18.1 and exodus redux about 2hrs ago...working perfectly.....exodus was updated a few days ago, prior to the update you had to enable the lambdascrapers module to find sources

The issue is the 'pros' don't control anything. Kodi is an open source service, where applications are being used to scrape content (where available) off the internet. No one locally has any control over the apps or the content itself, it's not hosted, nor are you paying for it. It is in effect in the lap of the Gods. If you want a service a such, then need one that is hosted, usually different hardware and then (depending on the service) will get some support as you are paying for a HOSTED service.

Kodi is a diversion, it is free, but when chewing up so much time and aggro, (this is my opinion only), just not with the effort for a full-time type TV service. Apps such as Exodus can get taken offline or not updated, so it is not unusual to find this type of issue - also if you leave the box off for a few months, when you turn it back on again half won't be working.

Cheap is one thing, but there's a line (in my mind anyway) and if you push it to the absolute limit for the 'cheapest of cheap', then sorry, but expect what you pay for.

Thanks Paul, the pros I spoke about are real pros with a very busy shop and many, many customers
For the amount of time I use this ‘free’ app I’m quite happy
I don’t want to pay any subscription as I don’t find it shuts my needs
I prefer cheap and wish you well in your profession too
PS, they fixed it and i can happily watch the odd new movie, catch up on master chef and watch the Melbourne Grand Prix tomorrow morning
Thanks for your ‘advice’ though, as ever it’s interesting
