There was a second app that does the same thing that Amazon have also blocked on firesticks (but i cannot remember the name!)

Thanks for that. Would it make a difference if I used my VPN when I'm using LiveNetTV? I'm assuming I'm only opening up my internet when I'm actually using the app?

No idea.
Would have thought so, (unless it opens something in the background when you start the firestick).

Thanks satandpcguy. I will proceed with caution... And use VPN!

I don't use the app you refer to, but my IPTV provider gave me the following instructions for Firestick recently so probably worth having a look at those settings too.

Thanks Jpeg. I'll give that a try - when the tennis and the grand prix have finished!! Good job we pay for sky on the UK and can, legally, access sky go :-)

One post also suggested I should disable Amazon firestick auto updates. How do I do that?

Many thanks jpeg. Followed your advice and now have LiveNetTV back. I'll use it with a VPN and switch off the firestick when I'm not using it!

Hi All

I have livenettv but recently I've been losing access to channels. "error fetching data".

Jpeg suggested an alternative to livenettv but I can't find the post.

Can anyone tell me how to either get livenettv working again or what is the alternative - mainly for sport.

TIA

Amazon are in process of banning all apps not available in its own market place.
It's to do with side loading IPTV apps and the fist step toward banning it on there platform all together.
At the moment the 4k and 4k max are largely unaffected but in time will be so a new approach will be needed.
I'm told Google is soon to follow so any stick or box running the Google system will in time be also effected.
Meantime the new fire stick now run on the Linux system which not compatible with android apps.
Turn off all in Preference as mentioned meantime
