LiveNetTV App disabled on Firestick

LiveNetTV App disabled on Firestick

Postby JustGinger » Sun Jul 06, 2025 12:21 pm

Hi All

We have a couple of fitesticks. Both had LiveNetTV on them. However on one it looked like it had disappeared. But when I went to reinstall it, it was asking if I wanted to update the app. I installed it but when it had finished the 'open' button was greyed out. And when I tried to click on open another window opened saying the app had been disabled as it was potentially harmful. I clicked on 'keep' but I still can't find the app on my apps.

I've tried Google but can't find any help, just other people with the same problem!

Can one of you more intelligent technologically minded people help, please?

TIA

Same thing happened on our Firestick. It says app disabled as potentially harmful.
Happy in the sun.

What we need is someone who can tell us how to enable it! Or whether there is an alternative.

Uninstall the version you have now and install the previous version. I have sorted a few out lately Downloader URL is livenettv.mn and you need to scroll to the bottom of the page to install the Amazon version

Thanks Jpeg. I'll give that a try - when the tennis and the grand prix have finished!! Good job we pay for sky on the UK and can, legally, access sky go :-)

One post also suggested I should disable Amazon firestick auto updates. How do I do that?

Thanks Jpeg. That's really helpful. I might have to call in your services if I fail to sort it out myself :-) :text-thankyouyellow:

LiveNET (and another app) have been disabled on firesticks due to how it opens your internet connection for others to use, without you knowing what it is being used for. Its how they make money, by selling your internet connection.
A major breach in your security, but it is hidden away in its T&Cs which you agreed to when installing (but which no one reads).
Even going back to a previous version will still have this issue, as it has been known that the app dies this for ages. But if you are OK with someone using your internet connection, then by all means install a previous version.

Thanks for that. I want aware of that! I'm assuming they'd have to have the password?

And is it only when you're using LiveNetTV?

They dont need your password, as you have already granted them access to your internet connection when you install the app.
There was a second app that does the same thing that Amazon have also blocked on firesticks (but i cannot remember the name!)
