Loss of internet etc

Loss of internet etc

Postby babaracarson » Mon Apr 06, 2020 8:42 am

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. We live in a rural part of Los Montesinos. Our internet, wifi, tv and landline have all been supplied by ole communication. We have now been told they are closing down the mast here and need to find a new provider. The problem is most of our local internet companies do fibre optic only, As we are the only residents and the cost quoted was 30 euros a meter to provide from nearest point, this is out of the question. Does anyone know of a company that still provides a satellite service to our area. Obviously the whole thing is made so much more difficult because of the lockdown. Would be grateful for any advice

I’m with Telecable of San Luis and live in Quesada. I have a small dish on the roof and get 20mb. No complaints.

Or look for a 4g (mobile phone signal) internet service. Usually much faster and more reliable than "wireless internet" systems.
Movistar do one that is data unlimited, but some others have monthly data caps.
