Speed tests are deceptive - as do not show stability or throttling/traffic shaping.

Can you try the 'mobile hotspot test'? If your phone has mobile data hotspot, when TV playing up, connect to this rather than your crappynet ;) and see if the IPTV performs better when linked to the WiFi mobile data hotspot from your phone, rather than your fibre connection.

I used this to prove to a Telfonica engineer that they were throttling!

The issue may be, the ISP will blame the IPTV provider - and vice versa. By changing to a different/any other internet connection when you have an issue, this can either prove issue with with ISP or IPTV.

I am not aware of this specific company mentioned has their own TV service - if they do, they may well be deliberately throttling any other connected IPTV provider - cause trouble, switch to their TV service and the miracle of miracles, everything is suddenly ok. This I have seen first hand - a bit of commercial underhand tactics - they can see if you are streaming video.

Companies generally aren't daft enough to try to throttle the likes of Netflix as too obvious - but often have issues with stability or network balancing & as I have caught Telefonica/Movistar doing this (and proved to their own technicians), you do have to be quite vigilant with your testing - as a bad IPTV provider, will give you equally the same issues a bad internet provider.

I would estimate 90% of our service emails are related to peoples internet issues tripping up their TV and not the other way around - but to be sure, you can only make your own tests. If you don't have a mobile hotspot connection on your phone - then you can always do the test, with the TV box on a friends or neighbours internet connection - though try to do at the same time of the day. Issues are more likely in the evening during the week - peak loading for ISP.

Other options if you have an ISP blocking or throttling type issue (and is not practical to change internet provider), is to use a VPN, which if using an Android type TV box, you can download an app and pay a small subscription for - or if using a box such as MAG without VPN option, then you can add in a VPN router (router with preinstalled VPN - connect to existing router).
