Sorry folk but I agree with Ken Law. I too fell foul of this shop. I needed a printer and looked at their online ads and saw a printer for sale at just over 50 euro, I thought, yes, that will do fine, good make. I go down there and yes it is there on the shelf so asked for it and then went to give him the money as quoted on line but to my dismay it had suddenly gone up to 72 euro ! when asked why I was told that they hadn't had time to update their website!!! excuse me, but they had just been shut for almost 3 months how long do they need to update their website?

If it was a brand new printer then it becomes the manufacturer’s responsibility to repair it from two weeks after the date on the sales receipt, in which case you should contact the manufacturer’s local support center. To throw it away though is daft, to say the least. Unlike a second hand car, printers do not have a mileage clock, so buying a second hand printer is a disaster waiting to happen, unless you are very lucky. Hopefully yours was new.

This is incorrect. If brand new, the printer will have a 2 year guarantee. If it becomes faulty within the first 6 months of the guarantee period, the fault is deemed to have been there at the time of manufacture and the purchaser is entitled to a refund, exchange or repair. After 6 months, the burden of proof transfers to the purchaser.

I had reason to visit this shop, I will not go again, bad attitude, seemed like I was disturbing the man, and he did not want my business, I got what I needed and will not deal again.

It is very hard to gain a customer, and very easy to lose one but I speak as I find.

Any IT company selling products, you would normally expect to have an up to date website - I mean their business is IT/computers, so updating a product or two on their own website, should be an easy exercise that you would expect they can do themselves.

When we used to sell satellite boxes and other items from the website, we always had to make sure was up to date - as the website is also part of the business/shop, in fact most business the initial point of contact is from the website, so importance cannot be understated.

Even though we don't sell directly from our website anymore, we still review once a month to make sure all information, relevant and up to date.

You kind of half expect this - a poor or out of date website from perhaps a small locally run / home based? non IT type business - but if selling any products on a website, in today's difficult environment, you want to give people the best and accurate / up to date information, so they come to you correctly armed with the knowledge needed - and leave happily - which should be any companies objective. Not what has unfolded here.

I hope that if the company sees this, they'll realise the importance of an up to date website and providing accurate information & service to customers.
