Would suggest a cautious approach with IPTV.

Price usually reflects the service given. Using the following as an example. If a service is €100 and another service is €200, then it can often indicate how many users are being placed on a server. The €100 offer can have double the people on the service/server as the €200 one, indicating what many companies do (mainly those found on the internet randomly) - they make them cheap, but the service is not that stable and often issues.

You can really only go 'so cheap' as hosting costs dictates this - if you see cheap, often it's cheap for a reason.

What people do not realise, is the business model some companies have. They offer a cheaper and pretty average or poor service, clients take for a month or 3, get fed up, change provider - so they get clients in because of price, but then lose them down to poor service. High turnover of clients, poor service.

Some other companies restrict the number of users on servers, to ensure a much better service, though as you can imagine costs do increase. IE you pay for a better service, but one you are likely to keep long term, rather than keep swapping cheap providers.

In 5 years, despite being 'promised' countless times of cheap prices and good systems by various suppliers who want to work with us, countless tests have done nothing to change my opinion. I've yet to see a cheap and stable service - people may give 'embellished' responses to fit their budget - but the reality of it is, you need to spend a little to get a decent service and hardware.

We received a message off a client - just been supplied a 'new box' by a local company - MAG 250 - a 4 year old model, software not updated by the manufacturer over 2 years. Most companies put in the cheapest crap they can get away with, rather than later (or more expensive) equipment.
