I have an Android iptv Box and that’s working fine and the reception from the satellite has only started breaking up the last two days
I think the satellite has the virus or my fairly new tv
Problem is I can’t get a techie in as it’s not an emergency

There are a range of conditions, both atmospheric and physical, which can interfere with satellite broadcasts, rain is only the most common and obvious one.

In some ways it's a miracle it works at all!

Yea, today,Wednesday, since the heavier rain started it’s all gone back to normal
It seems that damp air or light rain are more of a problem that heavy rain

Sky News is one of the strongest channels - if you are not picking it up. Initially i'd run a rescan on the receiver (or TV?) just in case accidentally deleted?? If it doesn't come up - then if could be a cable or LNB output issue - firstly i'd swap the cables around on the LNB and see if it makes a difference.

Jillandsteve - It sounds like your dish needs a tune - it's 'just about in tune' meaning it's a little off, which is why the slightest sniff of rain or atmospherics are affecting it quickly - 9 times out of 10, a retune should push up the overall signal a bit. Would be helpful if we (or anyone else for that matter) could put any technicians out on the road - but for now, best we can do is offer some general advice.

Paul
Thanks for your advice
I have a built in satellite tuner and channels are constantly breaking up and dropping out. The tv is only a few months old too, an LG smart tv
I retune the reception all the time and it helps for an hour or so but doesn’t last long
The dish is about 2m and as solid as a rock, the connections, both ends are firm so I’m at a loss
I guess I’ll just have to wait until life gets back somewhere near normal before I an get a tech visit
Thanks
