If you just want the free to air channels then you’ll need a dish that’s about 1.6 metres in diameter and a satellite box - proper Sky boxes are a bit of a pain because you can’t hide the channels that require a subscription.
If you want more than that then you might be better-off with an IPTV package if you have decent internet.

Do you know whether with a sky card service can you connect your skybox to the internet?

Not easily. If you connect it to the internet, box will know in Spain and is geoblocked. The only way is to use a VPN flashed router (with a UK VPN installed), connect that to the current router, then take the feed or signal from the new VPN router At that point, the UK box can be fooled into thinking it is connected in the UK. Cost of one VPN flashed router+VPN subscription cost.
Worth the cost and effort? But it is possible.

Firesticks potentially are aggro waiting to happen. They are hacked and have Kodi put on them with multiple apps.
Amazon has stated they do not want Kodi on their box (as they are a content provider, therefore do not want pirated content on their box) and do their utmost to bugger it up at some point with a software update & that aside this does not work like most people expect, it is not slick like usual Amazon, as set up different. You use multiple free apps, which scrape the internet for freely hosted content, which is fine when it is there - but can be pulled down overnight as can the apps themselves.
So a cheap solution, but one that is the bottom of the list stability wise - usually recommended until a little down the line when falls over.
The main issue, is that no one can guarantee or promise content they don't host - so it may literally be 'here today & gone tomorrow'. Freely hosted is that, zero guarantee as you are not paying for anyone to host or provide the service, you are hoping it stays available for free - which historically it does not - google Kodi/piracy/issues.
To have any chance at something akin to a solid and workable system, combined with proper facilities, such as a program guide, catch up type services and a defined / hosted channel list, requires different hardware/solution.
