My Mother is still living in hope of the service coming back but I fear it will never happen. She is saving the payments and is reluctant to find another service due to not understanding new technology. She loves to watch football and I am trying to help her from afar which is frustrating. I only found this forum when I searched Superbeam and glad I found it as there is so much help on here. :text-thankyouyellow:
Thanks, Phil.

Superbeam is still an ongoing re-transmission service in the Rojales area. It will be switched off in November and at this moment in time has about 30 channels still operating. Those who use the service ( and are connected to the world via smartphones or pc´s ) will have been advised this. Superbeam now offers an IPTV service including over 1000 channels, latest and older films, box sets etc using Firestick , although it will work on Mag 250 or above , or Android devises using a suitable program application.
Not as easy as the "old" satellite type box, but with much more functionality and local service support should there be problems.
I know, my dad is their support engineer in Quesada

There is IPTV equipment which in terms of general use is quite simple - in fact almost the same in use as a Sky type satellite receiver. It's fair to point out that as there are more features - such as catch up and on-demand video, which there are not on satellite (or UK satellite in Spain), so if someone wants these type of services, then they would have to learn how to use these additional features. We along with the manufacturer can offer user guide videos for equipment, which breaks these things down easily - youtube videos ;-) As well as the usual email etc support.

It looks like Superbeam has probably lost a little ground to IPTV over the last few years - offering an older system, which in today's market, is an overpriced service with too few channels - which is why they now playing catchup now and are offering IPTV themselves to their existing base, before they lose any more customers.

Would suggest doing a little shopping around as to 'what you want from a service' as there's quite a lot of difference in performance, channels and other content / services for the IPTV - as well as the type of equipment being installed.

Personally I wouldn't bother with an Amazon stick or older MAG box, as there's now much slicker equipment out there. For an extra few euros on some decent equipment, it can make quite a difference to the user experience, so getting the right hardware & decent IPTV service combined is necessary for the best overall user experience.

If anyone wishes to arm themselves with a little more overall knowledge of TV/IPTV in Spain, we have an article which covers all the options and pro's & con's of all the different services as well as explanations of some hardware like the firestick. More here. https://www.televisiontechnology.eu/uktv-in-spain

Here you go again, running down other providers.
My dad has been looking after the tv service for many local residents for over 15 years. He does house calls, not email support. The Firestick is only one option, did mention the Mag 250 because people have heard of it, could have said Mag 332. Also can run on Android devices using apps like STB Pro. Over 1000 channels, catch up, films and box sets.
Not surprised you don´t pay to advertise, you own the site, tracked it through the blocking server in Pamana

Err, I think you misread - we DO pay to advertise on this forum and our site or anything else we do has NOTHING to do with Panama - not sure where you got that from? But it is incorrect. We do not own this site!!!! 100%

As for the poster underneath Quesada Kim - stating the point if the TV service of said company leaves a lot to be desired, surely confirms my point? Lets please end it there and close the topic
