I am trying to help a neighbour. I have read the topic from Oct 2018. She has Superbeam and is paying €34.50 per month. She is receiving a tv service but would like to change to an all in one with another provider. As with the previous post she is receiving a service but no response from the contact phone no. She cannot cancel because, says the bank, it is paid by credit / debit card as opposed to direct debit. Any contact info please?

Worked fine thank you Marcliff. Bob of Superbeam answered promptly this afternoon. All sorted very satisfactorily for my friend.

Just for reference purposes - this type of 'rebroadcast transmission', has been superseded by newer technologies - mainly IPTV / streaming.
€34.50 per month by today's standards, is quite a lot for this type of (rebroadcast) service. For considerably less, other providers can offer 100's more channels - video on demand (a video club of series and films to watch anytime) and such features as catch up TV, which you cannot get with rebroadcast service. Summary more content and features for less money.
I thought Superbeam was no longer after a couple of run-ins with the Guardia and heard nothing from them in quite some time now, clearly, they have a few long term customers still who are unaware they are paying a hefty amount for a limited and nigh on 20-year-old service! Which to be fair, if the customer is not up to date on technology (which i'd guess they are banking on) - you wouldn't know better - there's been some of the biggest changes to TV services in the last 5 or so years.

Thank You Paul, This is exactly what has happened. Superbean are even advertising 59ch at €29. She wanted to cancel to expand the service she receives with Vega Fibra. Thankfully I have had prompt attention from Bob at Superbeam so can't complain, yet. All is going well so far but as I say I'll believe it when I see it.

I think even reduced to €29 for 59 channels offered by SB is still poor compared to the few hundred to thousands you can get for the same money or less via IPTV, many places elsewhere. Factor in 'modern features' such as the catch-up type TV, multiple recording options and video on demand - on top of the vastly more options for live channels, leads me to feel these services have very much had their day.
If someone does not have the internet, this leaves a satellite dish (or other dish) based options - so you could have a Satellite dish + UK Freesat service (one off fee and no monthly subscriptions 150 Freesat channels) or even an official Sky box and package for the premium channels - at the usual Sky UK costs.
So if you do not have the internet, do not have room for more than a 30cm dish, are in a location max 5km with a clear line of sight from their mast & prepared to pay €29 a month for a 59 channels, then it would seem a reasonable option
TBH they are not on my favourites list, I remember when they used to charge €600 to put in €20 euros of dish and probably €30-€40 worth of basic receiver - factoring in cable and a technicians time, no more than €100. I appreciate everyone's in the business of making money, but around 500% margin? I know what i'd call it.

Can anyone tell me the latest info on Superbeam TV ? Is it still running and are there any contact details. My Mother is still living in hope of the service coming back but I fear it will never happen. She is saving the payments and is reluctant to find another service due to not understanding new technology. She loves to watch football and I am trying to help her from afar which is frustrating. I only found this forum when I searched Superbeam and glad I found it as there is so much help on here.
Thanks, Phil.

Hi Phil,
The number Superbeam is showing - 965321116
Technology-wise - we deal with a lot of communities of those of a 'third-generation', so only too aware of the complexity of technology and the importance of ease of use when selecting systems and service - we have to offer support on an ongoing basis.
If you need any further information or guidance, welcome to drop us an email on [email protected] or give the office a call on 865774055 (landline).
