Telfy - Unexpected visit

I've just had a call from a friend of mine currently staying in my property. Telfy have turned up this morning to change the aerial and router, but I know nothing about it.

Just wondering whether anyone has had the same happen to them recently, and what the reasons were?

I've contacted Telfy and am waiting for a call back, but thought I'd try for a quicker response on the forum!!!

It is their equipment so they should be able to get at it to change it

I would be highly suspicious if any company turned up without prior notice, there are far too many scammers & scams going around I wouldn't let anyone in my house without prior notification. I know telfy have brightly coloured vans, uniforms etc but i, as the op, would most certainly contact the office before giving them access.

I agree!

I think the OP has good reason to check up on them. They should never call at a home unannounced.

Telfy usually call before visit as always want to confirm that someone is at the property, never known them or any other of these type of companies (including ourselves) - to turn up unnanounced. Is unusual.

Be aware the Telfy Office in Rojales is shut at the moment. It looks like it is being refurbished.

All was OK...Telfy contacted me early on Monday morning...they'd sent "me" a text previously...but little did I know that they had the number for my property manager who dealt with them originally...and they'd forgotten to tell me!

Turns out it was to change the equipment because we'd changed from 5mb to 10mb...I didn't realise there'd be any need for a change!

I agree. I had Telfy Fibre Optic fitted a couple of weeks back and they said that when I switch on, I can choose the speed on each occasion and just pay the difference.
