Temporary/PAYG broadband
Temporary/PAYG broadband
by scottie78 » Thu Apr 14, 2022 10:44 am
Good morning,
I've tried searching but have drawn a blank but I'm new to the forum so may be operator error!
We have a property in the Dona Pepa area that we visit for a few weeks of the year. It did have broadband (Aeromax I believe) that we were paying a monthly subscription for. This was an expensive way to get 4 weeks worth of broadband per year.
Are there any options for short-term broadband? We have two kids so they use a lot of data. Mobile roaming has limited data allowance and doesn't help their iPads.
Is there a hardwire or 4G solution that we may initiate and pause as necessary?
Thanks in advance

There are quite a few companies that offer switch on/switch off access. Telfy as mentioned, DVB Lab and quite a few others.
You will probably have to pay an installation fee of around 100 euro or so but then only pay when you are here. You simply pay for the time you are here but be careful, if you come over the last week of one month and the first week of the next you could get charged 2 full months. DVB Lab will just charge for one month fee if you pay at the office but 2 months if it's direct debit, for example.

I used DVBLAB for years … I worked in uk for 6 weeks home for 4/6 weeks. I would phone DVBLAB at airport paid by card and WiFi was turned on.it was19€ a month no matter if it was start middle or end of month. If needed longer I had to pay for a month again….hope this helps.
