Three.co.uk not charging for phone / data roaming in Spain

Son number 1 has told me about three.co.uk not charging extra charges for phone / data roaming in Spain come April 2015, thought it might be handy for others to know.

That looks good may be up for mifi broadband from three if cost is ok and up to speed.

I thought the EU parliament had voted to end roaming charges throughout the EU anyway? I know they reduced them in 2014 but the plan was to abolish them completely this year.

Do we know when in April that three will not b charging?

Three initially said this would happen in February to us, however looks like April now, but as yet no date. Three say it will be on their shopfronts and web site.

All networks should offer this in 2016 as a new EU Law will end roaming charges.

Three have implicated this early to gain extra customers and as a way to keep existing customers.

Networks are concerned that this will be open to abuse and I expect to see Fair usage policys in place from all Networks.
Three have already said this is for holiday makers and people visiting only.

Calls from Spain to the Uk will be charged or included as per your current allowance with no additional cost.

Was reading the small print, You can't tether the phone, that is you can't connect an iPad or laptop to the data from the phone sim which was what I was hoping for.
