Can anyone help with recurring problems with our tv magibox. We can watch for a while then the screen goes blank. So frustrating especially when watching a film. We have called telfy out. They have changed our wifi box. We have to keep taking out leads restarting etc.

I would gather that Telfy is your IPTV provider if they provided the Mag box. If the router to box is currently connected via WiFi then you can test its efficiency by connecting the box to your router with an Ethernet cable, which can be bought cheaply from Chinese mercas. If the problem goes away then it would prove that the WiFi connection would have been the problem and you can keep the cable connection.

I´m going to take the opposite guess and say Telfy is your internet provider and different provider for the TV onthe MAG.

If you have an issue with the screen going blank or black when program on - this can be related to either the internet dropping off or an unstable or overloaded TV service.

I´d start by making a log of what time it happens and on what channel/channels. You can check in with your TV provider during the day - are you having a problem on (example channel 4) at 5pm? or a specific file if ondemand.

The issue is ascertaining where the fault is - often ISP´s can have loading problems and do have the odd issue - we have 600+ Mbps and see odd glitch, s does drop out ocassionally, but not too often. If it´s. TV issue then the company should be able to check and advise you where the fault it.

Often TV providers overload servers, pile em high, sell it cheap - but it overloads the servers, so you can find that at times it is also a TV service provider issue.

Just drilling it down to find out exactly - hence the mention of the log.
