I strongly recommend Go Fibre TV and Internet system. You get all the normal UK programs plus Spanish channels including sport, but the best thing about it is that it has a built in catchup system where you can go back on ANY of the last 4 weeks programmes and watch again without having to record anything. if you have 2 or 3 programmes on at the same time, watch one, go back an hour, watch 2nd, go back again and watch 3rd easy. I also cancelled my VPN which I subscribed to in order to get the BBC iPlayer working here in Spain. No need as I can watch anything I missed on the catch up service.
Cost is 29.99 monthly for TV and Internet.Enjoy.

We are with Telfy, have fibre optic and upgraded at the beginning of the year to a faster speed, before contacting the shop I’ve noticed that the TV is buffering a lot more than usual and face time and messenger calls are either not connecting or very poor. Just would like to know has anyone else had problems?

Hi Annie,

Try and reboot the router and TV box. Sometimes re-establishing the connection can help.

You can also try to flick onto another channel and back again to current one, as this re-established the stream.

I think a few ISPs struggle at this time of year, lots of people at home using the internet and support/maintenance staff at a minimum too. They speak English in the office, you can always phone and tell them issue and ask them to reset the connection at their side.

Worst thing that we did was to upgrade to very fast fibre optic from Telfy from 100mg as since upgrading we get lots of buffering whereas on 100 mg nothing.
We have called them out twice their Engineers just unplug the router & say everything is good but not long later still buffering!!

That sounds exactly like what has happened to us, I’ll call them in the New Year and see if we get any joy,
Thanks Paul, we are continually turning everything off and unplugging, but doesn’t really help much, I did wonder if it was high usage, as it does seem worse in the evening, wasn’t sure if that still applied to fiber optics?

Hi Annie,

Internet usage is higher in the evening in general - so if ISP has issues, more likely to be during peak usage. Or at least show itself more during that time period.

We have Telfy 600Mbps, which usually is good, though have noticed a glitch or two last couple of weeks, though has been pretty minor - not often. I wonder if there is some issues with Telfy locally, fault in their Networks.

TV streaming HD is 5-6Mpbs for live TV, so anyone with any fibre connection should be able to have this working well even at the slowest fibre speeds.

Issue will be either network instability, so you get speeds, but then drop down to nothing and back up again, which will trip up box or deliberately throttling the portal box connection as they don´t have enough resources at the time. Eitherway i´d get onto the phone and have a moan.
