Before you decide on a device to run TV, have you checked that your wifi is good in your downstairs. I am assuming an under build.
Should you buy a Firestick and wifi is poor you will need to then run an ethernet cable and buy an extra adaptor for the Firestick.

Run a speed test at your new TV location downstairs to confirm your speed, Ookla on Android or Nperf on IOS. Alternatively download a wifi signal app.

Once you have established if wifi is useable then you can decide on device be it wifi or ethernet.
Will PM you with some further info.

Hi,

Fully loaded Amazon sticks may not be for everyone - better ways of doing this, more integrated solutions. Offering better services and overall use.
