Underbuilds

Can anyone recommend a builder that has carried out an underbuild for them.One that can obtain all relevent permissions and can work with an architect.many thanks.

Don Aluminio Building & Reformation (Advert on Left of page) do this type of work and are highly recommended on the forum by others and ourselves they get all permissions and work with one of the best Architects who have also been recommended on the forum.
Just do a search in the search box top right for them or just Google to see many recommendations.

Just be aware of what you (or your children) would do if a fire broke out on the ground floor..

Underbuilds are not legally to be used as living accommodation

jpeg that's not correct. If you don't have it converted to current building regulations and registered then yes you're right. Many properties in Quesada have fully legal under builds and many I'd imagine are illegal too.

Hi what DTR says is correct as long as they comply with current planning legislation and are constructed correctly under Architect supervision. They can be used as accommodation and can be added to your deeds as extra living space, or they can be made as a storage area if they are not able to conform to regulations for living. It is better to get a reputable company like Don Aluminio to take a look and advise on what may be possible. As Will says they work with a great Architect 'Sergio' who has advised us on several projects also.

The most important thing is to take professional advice. Many people don't and wish they had!

I used Antonio at Davinia Construciones for a lot of work on my villa including digging out and tiling my underbuild for use as a store room. He worked with a local architect on my bedroom extension and got all the necessary permissions & papers. Tel 620 008 574
