thanks Helen

If you are not on a community then in all probability you wouldn't be linked to a communal aerial. If you did have an aerial connection built in with the house you should see the sockets on the walls inside.

If the other owners are Spanish and you see an aerial on their roofs like this (see photo below) then they are using the TDT Spanish digital system and that would mean you would need an aerial fitted too if you also want to access the Spanish system.

How you set it on your actual TV I don't know but I cant see why you wouldn't be able to get Spanish Tv once you are connected to an aerial. Hopefully someone will be able to guide you better. If you look in the instruction booklet I expect it shows you how to re-tune and set up the channels.

You never know, if you ask, you may have a helpful neighbour who could help you set it up.

Not quite right. Builders put in sockets for systems and put in ducting behind - to make provisions for, does not guarantee anything other than you have a socket on the wall!

I think there is a little confusion with OP - possibly mixing up devices.

For your IPTV box, check physical connection round back of the TV which port it is plugged into. If no.1 for example. Then on the TV remote, look for 'source' or 'input' and a little box should pop up, use the up and down arrows of your TV remote to navigate up and down, then press 'o.k' to select. Make sure your IPTV box is on and should connect to the source. If unsure you can just go through each one, until the correct inout connects and your picture pops up.

With Spanish TV - when pressing the input settings, most TV's usually default to this or if not, you may find a 'DTV' option when looking at the source settings (1st paragraph).

If you have antenna lead, plug directly into the back of the TV & in the installation menu, you should see an option to scan channels. If you run a scan and nothing pop up, then either you have no antenna or missing cable.
