Watch TV without IPTV box

Can anyone tell me how to watch my TV without the IPTV box I want to see the Spanish channels
Apparently you can get BBC 1 and 2
No source on my TV and in Input nothing that says TV
My friends just switch off their IPTV box press source on remote and choose TV but I do not have this option
Have a lg smart TV Seems to still be
Programmed to the sky internet I had in Uk

You need to connect it to an aerial if you want to see spanish tv one would guess

As Steve says you would need an aerial to see anything that's not satellite or IPTV based. If you do and its connected,and as you say you don't have a button labelled ATV/DTV, many remotes have a button with a symbol like a tv screen with an arrow coming in from the side, pressing that should bring up a menu with the various source inputs such as ATV (analogue tv) DTV (digital TV), scart, HDMI, RGB etc. From what you say it will currently be on HDMI or SCART, you would need to select, I suspect, the DTV option (if not ATV). After that you would need to select your menu button and one of the options there would be something like Scan for TV channels which will go through all the bands and store up any channels it finds and its ready to go.

Apparently you can get BBC 1 and 2

You cannot get BBC 1 or BBC 2 (or any UK terrestrials), with a Spanish terrestrial antenna. With a traditional antenna, you will get Spanish only national channels.

To get UK TV, you have different options, such as IPTV (internet connection required), or satellite dish (no internet connection required). Satellite dish, gives same service as in the UK, IPTV, will depend on your internet speed and the type of IPTV equipment you choose (some is easier to use than other).

Yea have iptv box but wondered how to watch Spanish tv on tv but think you need aerial which we haven't got but thanks

Yes you do need an aerial but if you live on a community/urbanisation where Spanish people also live you may have a community aerial without realising it. We have been using the Spanish TDT community aerial for years but some of our British and other nationality residents did not know they had it. As some of the houses were set up for British TV coverage the spanish aerial connection inside the houses were sometimes disconnected by other tv providers but it has been easy to connect them up again to Spanish TV.

I personally think it is a shame to live in Spain and not have access to Spanish TV when you want it. We use the TDT digital Spanish set up a lot and also have the option of changing the language to English on the films/TV dramas etc that are originally British or American.

Hi dont live on an urbanisation live in Almoradi which is typically spanish, was a new house never been lived in so how do I know if I have a communal aerial or my aerial is disconnected

Do you have an aerial on your roof, is there an aerial connection on the wall. Without any of these you won't get Spanish tv
