WI fi extender

I have had fibre optic installed today complete with a new router
The problem now is that the existing wi fi extender will not connect to the new router
I have followed the extender set up instructions correctky but it still refuses to connect.
The fibre supplier, Telfy, were no real help
Any ideas please ?

I have Telfy and it would appear that they reconfigure their routers and disable WPS. To get around this, I bought a TP-Link router (AC750) and piggy-back this on the Telfy one. I use the TP-Link's wifi and extended off that.

I had the same problem and my son came up with this. Buy a TP link box and plug the router into it then plug it into the mains. I now have wifi wherever there is a socket throughout the house ( and outdoors}. You just plug an adaptor into the socket and plug into pc or whatever you are using. I found this far more reliable than the wifi extender we were using. Can't remember the actual name of the bit of kit ( my sons done it when visiting) but if you Google TP link I am sure you will find it.
