What TV channels have you lost? BBC changed a lot of frequencies last week and, if you have a free to air (freesat type thing) then you need to do a rescan of your tuner. If it is a Sky system, it sometimes drops out and you again have to do a find channels scan.
The answer to how the changing of satellites will affect us is that nobody knows. Even the experts don't know as yet. It might be better, it might be the same of we may lose some of the main channels unless we have a really big dish.
However, if you've just lost your channels, it won't be anything to do with the satellite changes. The BBC channels are still there on a small dish but have just changed channels. There was a warning on the teletext system saying this would happen during October and by retuning the tuner will get them back.
