It appears DVLAB might be worth a look Gaynor.
There is a Free Wifi item on this site that gives the details.

Hi Gaynor,
I gather you are on Lo Marabu Urb, there is talk of a community Wifi system possibly being installed. If you read the latest meeting minutes it is on there and they are asking for residents of Lo Marabu to express their interest to the Administrator by email - literally just identify yourself by email and say 'I am interested in the Community WiFi'. If enough people show an interest the Administrator will price it up and give us all the price per house (No obligation). If you need any more info just let me know.
In the meantime, as Glyn says, there's a good thread by Sandra you can read here. Here's a link to Sandra's post places-to-go-for-free-wi-fi-f26/my-places-to-go-for-free-wi-fi-t34.html#p1665
She has been using a system from http://www.dvblab.com/ and it seems to be pretty reasonable.

There are several companies providing wi-fi in the area, some quite expensive, some quite cheap. Some reliable, some not so reliable. Dvblab, Nortons (Costa Blanca Broadband), Ole and even telefonica themselves. Some are provided by a small dish, some by cable.
We have used dvblab for about 6 months. The internet is €19 a month but we like it because it also provides a landline telephone and we pay €24 a month for both. It also has the bonus of free TV which includes 26 channels (all UK TV) and has been very reliable. Installation costs were €120 ish and includes a dish about 15 cm across. So far it has been very good, any slight glitches are dealt with immediately (we've only had 2 glitches in 6 months) and professionally. It is only 2Mb but this has been ample for us. I wouldn't like to use it to download films etc as that would take some time. Our neighbours used Telefonica but was very expensive and not particularly good plus the TV was an extra €20. Nortons do a very good package as well with loads of TV channels (all the freesat ones) provided but, again, only 3Mb download.
Our phone calls to UK cost 1 cent a minute which is great but others provide free european calls for about an extra 5 euros a month.
The other good thing about dvblab is that you can switch off the service (via email) when you aren't here. If you wish to keep the same telephone number, they charge 5 euros a month line rental only. They will switch the service back on as soon as you ring them and tell them you are back.
Ole is €20 a month and they have a stand in Carrefour where you can sign up but, again, slow internet and a few complaints about the service.
There are loads of ads in the free papers and the telly papers for these companies.
One problem with the internet providers and a small dish is that the service may drop out in very bad weather. So far, we have had no problems but we haven't had the super lightning storms we sometimes have over here. I will be waiting for one such storm to see how the system stands up to it.
Oh, nearly forgot, the TV with dvblab is through a PC. If you want a set top box to connect direct to your TV without having to use the PC they charge an extra €100 for that so not exactly cheap cheap for installation although the ones who did the installation were excellent and even programmed the telephone for English etc.

Ah thanks for all the information . I will certainly look into the dvlab as at the moment we pay super beam €21 a month just for telly , so their price for tv and wifi and landline seems very reasonable.
Thanks again

I used DVBlab for my wifi and tv as is means that I can switch it off when I am in the UK - a quick email to them with arrival and departure dates and it is all sorted for me. I have already recommended them to another friend who has a holiday home in Quesada

Welcome to TalkQuesada AnneDC. Hope you enjoy using the forum.
Thanks for recommending DVBlab . They seem to be popular and they have a helpful service for Non-Residents who don't want to pay for the TV/Internet all year round.

Yes welcome to the forum Anne DC. I hope DC doesn't stand for Derby County, I try to keep away from the Rams. I see you're staying in the posh part of Quesada. Keep in touch.

Don't worry about the Derby County - I'm one of the dreaded MUFC supporters!!! My surname is hyphenated so it is easier to be known by the initials .....

Like to hear anyone else who has this system!!
i have lost all my tv channels, and are unsure what to do as i have been informed they are putting up new satalites and the tv packages you can get now might be a waste of time in 6 months time!!
dont mind paying for something that will still be here in a couple of years time, but spain seems to be a bit hit and miss!!
