Guardamar bus from Quesada

Guardamar bus from Quesada

Postby m wilson » Wed Jul 03, 2013 8:43 pm

Hi everyone
That's good news about the bus to Guardamar. Hopefully it does start in the near future.
The times maybe quite erratic though so does anyone have any idea how much taxi fare
would be from Guardamar to Quesada. Maybe want to stay longer than 7.15 anyway.
Cheers
Margaret

Hello Margaret,
The bus to Guardamar is already running but it appears to be not very well known. It's not an actual beach service as it stops at the bus station but we saw a few people waiting at the stop in Quesada and asked them where they were going. That's how we found out about it. It's the Agostense bus company and there is a timetable which is not easy to decipher but will put it on here soon.
Don't know how much the taxi would be but there are some local taxi numbers on this link you could phone to ask:

Here's the timetable (as of July 2013) for the bus that goes to Guardamar from Quesada, near the Ayuntamiento building opposite the Deutche Bank. It goes from Quesada at 13.00,14.05,17.15 & 20.50 but coming back to Quesada fron Guardamar bus station there is only one bus which is at 19.15 (only Spain could do that!). There is also a photo below showing the actual bus at the bus stop in Quesada.
If anyone uses it please let us know about your experience of the service as we haven't yet tried it. Thanks.

My parents used Quesada taxis to and from Guardamar and la Mata beaches and they were charged €14 euros each way.

That does seem quite expensive. It would be much cheaper by bus and even using a taxi back if the later time of the bus is inconvenient would be better.

Don't know of any bus to La Mata beach from Quesada but we have used the bus to Torrevieja and there are some beaches there, although it is a bit of a walk from where the bus stops.

We desperately need a good bus service from Quesada to the local beaches in the Summer. We've been saying that for years. Never understand why some bus company doesn't run a service, even just in the height of Summer. It would get a lot of custom I'm sure, if it was publicised enough.
