Hi all,
Where is the nearest train station to Quesada, can we travel far from it, or do we need to go to Alicante.
Thanks
John

20 mts away SAN Isidore. You can also get a Dorado ticket from most stations which gives you discounted travel Monday through a Thursday up to 40% off & 25% on a Friday. Have read if train is 5 minutes late you get compensation.

It is a local train that stops at various stations on its way to Alicante. Then the other way is towards Murcia. You should be able to look the routes up on line. RENFE San Isidro. Very cheap and free car parking.

From EuroTour Guide : Albatera-Catral station, located on the outskirts of San Isidro, is on the main line north to Elche Parque and Alicante and south to Orihuela and Murcia.
The line is a local train line known as a cercanias, but you can find the timetable using the Renfe website. Click on the word Welcome to change the site to English, then click on the box which says Commuter Trains (Cercanias in Spanish). Then on the left of the screen click on Murcia/Alicante. In the Departure Point dropdown menu select your departure station, in this case Albatera-Catral. In the Destination dropdown menu select the station you are travelling to which will be Orihuela, Murcia, Elche Parque or Alicante. Select the date of travel and then click on search and the timetable will appear. To find the times for the return journey, move your mouse over the words Request Return Times on the Day and once the hand symbol appears click. The Departure Point, Destination and timetable will change to the one for the return journey.
