There's a regular bus service from Guardamar (starts in Torrevieja) to Alicante but doesn't say if it stops at La Mata. About every half hour in the mornings going through to about ever 50 minutes to an hour during the day then increasing to about every half hour in the early evenings.
If you're driving, it depends where you're going as to the parking. Seems to be a lot of pay and display near the sea front with parking garages in the centre.

There are a few busses from Rojales to Alicante.. the cost is about 3.50€ ...it is about 7.30am and another at 10.00am..but others too..

There is a bus from Rojales to La Mata at about 10.40. It is the Elda to Torrevieja bus. It drops off on the N33 opposite La Mata and you go under the road by underpass... I think it comes back about 5.00pm...

As it is on the cusp of summer/winter timetables these times might change so best get an updated time table from the town hall..

Doesn't the hotel have parking if you are staying overnight . Always use the underground car park by the harbour

Hotel doesn't have parking. I've discovered ParkVia which is essentially a park and ride to Alicante Port. They also do a meet and greet service so think I will give them a try. 14 eur for a day cheaper than the bus!
