Quesada Market - Chinese Bazaar - Doña Pepa, Quesada

Quesada Market is a Chinese Bazaar store in the Doña Pepa area of Quesada. It is behind the Consum supermarket and next to the Petrol station.
All Chinese bazaar stores sell everything from clothes to kitchen ware, tools to stationary and lots more - So many things you never knew you needed until you see them.

I know where the Laguna Hotel is but where is the Consum in relation to it please? I know I'm going to need lots of bits and pieces for our house. Where is the best place to buy crockery and cutlery locally do you think?

If you look on the top street-map above you can see at the bottom 'Av. Antonio Quesada' and this is where the hotel is located. Then look to the left, where the little man icon is, and that's where Consum supermarket is. It's only a couple of minutes drive from the hotel and about 15 minutes walk.
Most large supermarkets should have some crockery and cutlery. Even the Chinese shops will have some too but I would think the best selection, not too far away, may be in Carrefour supermarket near Torrevieja
I can't think of any other shops locally for cutlery & crockery but someone else may help you there.

Hi Jan,
Thank you, as always, for your prompt and helpful reply. I'm suddenly feeling a little daunted at the thought that our dream is about to become a reality to be honest.
I would like a decent choice so the Carrefour sounds perfect. If I put Torrevieja 01380 into the Sat Nav will take take us directly there? We'll have come straight from the airport, stopped briefly at the house to make a list of all the household goods we need and then go straight out to get them. I think it'll be sufficient to concentrate on driving on the correct side of the road without thinking about directions! I'm hoping there's ample parking there too.
Also, what kind of things does the Habaneras shopping centre sell? It would be good to get as much done as soon as possible as I'm hoping the TV, telephone and internet men can manage to come later on in the day when we're back. Another thing, do you know where I can buy some nice Satellite HD TVs at a reasonable price? It would be really handy if they sold them there but I know it's unlikely. Also, where would be the best place to buy some nice day beds for the solarium and large, strong hammocks and/or funky seating for our six feet six, six feet five and six feet two grandchildren, not to mention our youngest, who's only 14 and already six feet, same as my husband! I also need a nice outside table and chairs so any suggestions would be gratefully received. It's only my daughter and I coming this time so we can have everything sorted by the time my husband and our grandchildren are free from school, college and work. Neither of us can spare too much time away from our families and work but we do want to make it extra perfect for our first family celebration at our new dream family home. I think my excitement's beginning to overcome my unusual insecure feelings again! Bet you can't tell!

You will have a good choice of most things at Carrefour in Torrevieja as it's a Hypermarket. They have a garden section, with outside tables, chairs, sunchairs. They also sell TV's and other electricals and appliances. I think they deliver free if the items are over a certain price. The Habaneras shopping centrenext door has some good shops too, so worth looking round there as well. Don't dismiss the Chinese shops for incidentals. small kitchen items and anything you've forgotten - They are brilliant for those sort of things and where ever you are in the area, you will always be within a few minutes drive from one LOL.
There is a DIY store near Carrefour, similar to Homebase in the UK, called Aki (Website: http://www.aki.es/tiendas/torrevieja ) and they have garden furniture and lots of household items too. There's a map on there that shows Carrefour as well if you need it.
I don't know much about programming Sat Nav's but you may need to be more specific than an area code. Carrefour is pretty easy to find from Quesada, following signs for Torrevieja, on the CV905. There are a number of roundabouts to negotiate on the way, so take extra care on these as the mix of Spanish, British and other foreign drivers are not a good combination on Spain's roundabouts!
Hope this helps.
Jan.

If you put 03180 into your Satnav, it will take you to Torrevieja. The Post Code covers the whole of Torrevieja, not just one area. Like 03170 covers Rojales, Quesada and any other town that comes under Rojales town hall.
Use your Points of Interest facility on the Satnav and look for shopping centres, Habaneras.
I hope you're not planning to do all that on your first day?
Oh, there is a Zara Home at Habaneras if you fancy splashing out on crockery, cutlery and so on.
