Can the Dutch visit Spain currently from Holland ?

Postby Paul1000 » Wed Mar 31, 2021 12:01 pm

Hi, I am asking this for a Dutch Neighbour who has a holiday home in Quesada and wants to finish some interior work on his house.

Does anyone have any up to date information on the regulations concerning visitors from Holland ?.

Thank you.

Hi. Have been living in Belgium for the past 90 days, UK citizen with Spanish residency, i arrived at Alicante on Monday afternoon with all the necessary paperwork expecting to be quizzed. Surprised to find that only the QR health declaration was checked, the PCR result form wasn’t even asked for, neither was proof of residency. Walked past 5 police at the exit that were stopping nobody! The Schengen area flights are just like the old days. Freedom of EU movement proved!

Exactly my experience too. I flew from the Netherlands to Alicante on Monday packed with all required forms and test certificates. At the airport in the Netherlands they only checked my boarding pass and passport and at arrival in Alicante they only scanned the QR code generated by the Spanish entry form that you need to fill out online before flying. Nobody cared to see my test result and in Spain they did not even verify who I was.

With regard to flying from NL to Spain: the Dutch government officially discourages it, but it is not forbidden by any means. All you need is to fill out a few forms and get a PCR test.
