A wise move.

Both my wife and I have tested positive for Covid over the past week. We adhered to the current precautions but still succumbed to the virus. However, we were astounded that, on our visits to, Home Sushi (07/12), The Cooper’s Arms (08/12) and Portico Mar (09/12) never asked for Covid’ Passports’. It has to be noted that La Herradura, on both 05 and 12 December did ask to see our documentation and did refuse entry to some who could not comply.

The other thing that’s apparent is that some, with symptoms are hiding the fact, so as not to spoil ‘their’ Christmas and, others that have (had) Covid but, did not alert the Authorities.

It IS out there, Puig should do whatever is necessary to reduce the spread.

Doesn't matter what you do, its here and is never going away.
Restrictions do not stop or eradicate it.
Some countries never stopped home working or mask wearing, but didn't do better than those with stringent restrictions.
End if the day we need to learn to live with it.

Sorry to hear you've caught it, I hope it's mild and goes as quickly as it came. As for Portico Mar, from what I've seen they don't stick to the rules and haven't from day one. Only 2 weeks ago 12 to a table when it should have been 10 and when questioned all I got was a shrug of the shoulders. When I mention people walking about without a mask they look at you as if you're mad. I won't be going back there until covids died down a bit.

I’m not particularly interested in “some countries”, I’m concerned with Rojales, Alicante and Valencia. And you are right, it’s not going away but it can be contained. And if a few bars and restaurants fold because of tighter restrictions but, in doing so, our local health services are not swamped by admissions and drown under a flood of patients in ITUs then that’s worth it.

One things for sure, new bars will spring up far quicker than a crippled health service and cost us, the tax payer, far, far less. We may not see so many happy hours or €9.95 menu del Dias (with wine!) but, that’s no real hardship. Now, is it?
