Entry to spain with covid certs outside eu/uk
by CandJ » Sat May 14, 2022 5:18 pm
Hi all,
I am looking for some help on the following.
I have family (English by birth, but live there) arriving from Malaysia, via the UK, shortly. The adults have had all vaccinations and boosters required to date. They have already visited the UK with their certificates and there was no problems. The children are all under 3 years old.
I need to know what the Spanish view of Malaysian certificates are and do they need to complete a SPTH?
TIA

Covid certificates issued in Malaysia are recognised for entry into the EU.
Provided they have had both doses between 14 days and 270 days (9 months ago) or have had a booster and the vaccines are those recognised by the WHO then there is no problem.
No locator forms or tests are necessary if they have the certificate.
"Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/534 of 1 April 2022 establishing the equivalence, for the purpose of facilitating the right of free movement within the Union, of COVID-19 certificates issued by Malaysia to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council (Text with EEA relevance)"
The recognition of 40 non-EU issued certificates can be found at this link
