Hi. My ITV was due today (15th) I went to my local Estacion ITV in Torrevieja. The gates and office were all open, but I was told that the ITV is not an essential service, and that I should be at home as per instructions. The question must be asked that if it is not an essential service ,why are all the employees in work?

One would hope that in the extraordinary circumstances some latitude would be applied in such matters and that the Guardia have far more important things to be doing than checking cars for expired ITV's (which BTW will NOT invalidate the insurance) but it highlights the folly of leaving an ITV until the last day the more so when you can take it up to a month before due and get a sticker valid for 13 months!

For the OP there is no practical way to postpone an ITV, and certainly nothing which can be done remotely, how much of a problem it might prove when you are finally able to get over I don't think anyone can say - perhaps something to do with how long it's been left undone after the restrictions are lifted?

I'm in the same boat, mine is due end April and have been told my easyjet flight will possibly still be grounded. Hopefully it might be ok by then but probably not.
I park it at the airport so will have to drive from there to quesada with no itv. Worrying to say the least.

There is a lot of anger amongst the ITV Centres of Alicante as the Generalitat Valenciana has not officially closed the Centres although they are not considered essential services. Other autonomous communities have closed their ITV Centres.

If your car is parked at the airport they can get it done for a small charge.

I am pretty sure the n332web page said yesterday the government has ordered ITV stations to close. No problem not having an ITV for the time being
