12/08 night cycling to see Perseids meteor shower

Hi! me and two friends are going to cycle to "cabezo gordo" in embalse la predera, in torremendo.
Anyone is invited. (its not an organized tour, its a free activity)

We are doing this becouse the night of august 12th is the peak of the perseids meteor shower, one of the most important of the year. this place is not far. Around 30km, and its 200 mts heigh.
Its a good place because its near and a bit isolated from urbanized areas, improving the darkness of the sky for a better view. also with the height is a good thing to reduce ambient humidity.
We are going to camp in the wilderness at the top of the cabezo gordo. and come back with the first light in the morning, becouse some of us have to work in the morning. tents are not needed becouse of the warm climate. no rain is pronosticated.
Its a easy path, and there is rural roads that there have not much traffic.
we are going easy, its not an sport meeting, just for leisure, enjoying the road. So the speed would be normal like commuting.
I think it would be posible to do the whole road with any tipe of bike, anyway a tyre wider than 28mm would be better.

lights (there will be no moon, so lights are very important)
shoes (something for cycling and walking)
somthing to sleep (a mat, or inflatable matress. keeping it light)
something to eat at night and breakfast.
water.

Can't make the night cycle unfortunately, but we were planning on cycling to Pedrera this weekend and the link you provided for the area is very useful. It is testing my Spanish though, think I may need to get my dictionary out
