The following is specific to Carp-R-Us members but others may wish to follow this advice.
REGULATIONS & GUIDELINES AS AT 18TH May 2020
With the official announcement that angling can recommence as of Monday 18th May 2020, we have revised the guidelines for Carp-R-Us members in accordance with this and the other regulations for Phase 1. These Guidelines are for pleasure fishing only and we request that Carp-R-Us members follow them.
[LEFT]REGULATIONS & GUIDELINES AS AT 18TH May 2020
1. Match fishing is not permitted.
2. Angling to be undertaken on a solitary basis - social distancing in accordance with government guidelines must be maintained at all times. (There is nothing to prevent several members being on the same venue at the same time so long as social distancing is applied).
3. Anglers with personal mobility problems should have regard to their own safety as to where they fish
4. Anglers can only fish in the Province in which they reside. No cross boundary angling. Consequently, some of us can only fish Alicante waters whilst others can only fish those in Murcia.
5. No sharing of fishing positions (swims) except for members of the same household.
6. Members of the same household may fish in closer proximity to each other.
7. No sharing of fishing tackle or any other item. Though, members of the same household may share.
8. No keepnets.
9. At El Bosquet, anglers should follow the additional rules it has laid down. Drive direct to your preferred swim. The fee of €7 will be collected from you at some stage. Please have the correct money available.
10. No greetings by hand shaking or similar. Social distancing must be maintained. (Whilst the Government has not mandated masks and gloves, these are recommended when being near other persons.
11. No car sharing with friends.
12. Cars should not be parked closely together. At departure, leave in an orderly fashion. Car windows should be closed when passing nearby to other vehicles.
13. When walking to swims, still maintain social distancing.
14. At the end of the day, disinfect your fishing tackle.
15. Anyone displaying symptoms of Covid 19, or who shares a household with someone that does, should not go fishing but continue to follow government rules on self isolation.
