Nearby "mountains"

Postby Niktam » Sun May 31, 2015 1:26 pm

I'm sure we must have all looked at the nearby mountains (large hills) that we can see from all of the hill in Rojales thousands of times. Has anyone walked up them if so where do I find any information as I just have to get to the top.
Hopefully there is a path to the top?

From the canal (on the Campo North of Albatera and Crevellnte) go over bridge 6 and drive until you can go no further and park up (about 4k) A walk to the top of the mountains where the antennas are will take about 2 to 3 hours zig zagging on the paths/rough tracks, some parts but mainly the last 2 kilometer are quite steep but safe. This time of year start out before 7.30 or the heat may be too much. About halfway up there is a sign to the Hondons if you don't want to go to the top which is a nice walk with a few bars at the end to quench your thirst ;-)
