50 meter swimming pool - Also gym classes in or near Quesada

Hello,

I am coming to stay in in August at my sisters Villa, she has a pool but I could really use a 50 meter pool to fit some training in whilst I am over, does anybody know of one in the area? Also, does Howards Gym or the Fitness Center have web sites up and running to look at whats available class wise?

Welcome to TalkQuesada. Hope you enjoy the forum and find it helpful.

Both Howards Gym and The Fitness Centre (The Studio) in Quesada don't have websites at the moment but I have emailed them for their classes and will let you know when they get back to me.
As for a swimming pool, I don't know the size of the pool but if you are near to the Country Club in Quesada (see link below for location etc) they have a pool for customers to use for free:

Other than that there are municiple pools around the area. There is one in Guardamar (about 10 minutes away by car) : quesada-general-discussion-f9/indoor-swimming-pools-t589.html

Also the Laguna Hotel has a pool and you may be able to use but not sure what the situation is and if it's for 'residents only'.

I'm sure you may get some more suggestions on here soon.

Torrevieja has a 50m swimming pool at Sport City but I think it is only for the use of clubs etc. Not sure if it is open to the general public. It also has a 25m outdoor pool which costs €3 but I should imagine it would get pretty busy in the summer.
If you go along the CV905 towards Torrevieja, turn left at the roundabout after La Siesta (It's signed Avda Cortes Valencianas). Keep following the road (quite bendy with a 40km speed limit and keep bearing right at all the roundabouts except the last one) and, as you take a left at the final roundabout, it is on your right hand side.
It has gymnasiums, pools, football grounds and all the sports facilities required. You could pop down for a nice swim in the outdoor pool and ask what the policy is on using the other facilities.
Of course, the Quesada aqua park has a large pool but is usually packed so swimming a few lengths is normally out of the question.
The Flamingo aquapark in La Siesta has a 20m pool which is pretty empty as all the kids are playing on the slides in the other pools. You can usually get a few lengths in there without too much problem.

Just heard back from Quesada Fitness Gym and they said "the classes available at the gym are Circuits, boxercise, aerobox, pilates/ yolates, relaxation , Butt Lift, TRX, Spinning, MMA Aerobics, in fact pretty much something to suit everyone."

The Studio Gym & The Studio Quesada were bought out last year last year and it has been completely re equipped, installed with commercial air conditioning, retiling of the showers and decorated throughout. It is known now as "Quesada Fitness Gym"

The owner has said that the "aim is for a welcoming environment to all ages and abilitiy levels".

I am a swimmer and regularly use the 50M indoor pool in Torrevieja. It is open to the public most of the morning and some later times as well and you need flip flops, a hat and a padlock for the lockers. It is a pay machine so take some change with you. The pool is great but the changing rooms are just ok. The indoor pool at Guardamar is also quite big but not 50M bit it has a nicer environmnet than Torrevieja.
