Cadena88 - DIY store - Lo Marabu - Near Consum - Quesada

Postby Jan » Sat Nov 22, 2014 7:03 pm

There is a Ferretería / DIY Hardware store opened in 2014, called Cadena88, in the Lo Marabu area of Doña Pepa, not far from Consum supermarket.

It's close to the pet supplies store and the Quesada Butchers shop, facing the main road CV905.

Yes exactly! I noticed that too.
I just hope it stays there. Use it or lose it I say!
We have to paint the white parts of the house early next Spring, so it will be handy to get paint locally.

I have used this new DIY store several times since it opened and found it to be excellent.
Some items I have bought were cheaper than the wholesaler in Torrievieja.
One of the staff also speaks perfect English and is very helpful and knowledgeable on DIY .
Please help keep this very important addition to Quesada here by using it before going to the bigger DIY shops.
We are so lucky to have this type of business opening in Quesada, and with our patronage more will come, and perhaps may even outnumber the Chinese Todo shops one day!!!

I visited this shop a short while ago and was assisted by the young guy.
They didn't have exactly what I wanted in stock so he made a phone call. He asked if I could call back the next morning and hey presto,
there it was. Excellent service and I didn't really notice any massive price differences from anywhere else plus, as has been mentioned in earlier
posts, it's closer than torrevieja and los montesinos. I don't recommend many places but this is one that I will, gladly.

Just been in this Ferreteria and had a key cut. Very nice service as usual. Couldn't believe the price for a key cut would be so reasonable at 95 cents - It may be that we live near London but our local key cutting place, a well known UK Franchise, charged me £7 last time and said come back in an hour!!!!!...I expect all you up North will say that you don't pay anything like that in the UK but that's London prices for you.
Anyway Cadena88 was 95cents and done in less than a minute. I expect our other favourite friendly ferreteria Jaquelines in Quesada does the same too. I was very pleased yet again with our local store.
