Your Spanish licence should have an expiry date on it. Like UK driving licences, they expire when you are 70.
You need a medical at aged 70 and apply for a renewal which will be 5 years if you pass all the medical tests.

If you go to clinica La Siesta, they will make an appointment for you, carry out the medical, give you a temporary licence until your new one arrives, take the photo, complete all the paperwork and process it for you.

The cost is €40 for the medical. If you are over 70 then the renewal cost is free but, even just 1 day under 70, they will charge €20.
I got mine done a week before I was 70 and had to pay €60, my wife's was done on her 70th birthday and cost €40.

Hers was renewed two years ago and mine at the beginning of last year and both took 3 weeks to arrive.
The temporary licence is valid for 3 months and they will update if for free if your new one hasn't arrived.

There are other places.

Hi. I got my Spanish driving licence in May 2019 and the expiry date is Feb 2024. However I am 70 in August this year. Has there been a change because mine doesn’t expire at 70?

Spanish driving licences have to be renewed every 10 years or every 5 years after you are 65. If the licence is issued after you are 65 then it will be for 5 years so there is no need to renew it when you reach 70.
Those that were issued before you were 65 will only be valid until you reach 70.
