Buying a car.and insurance

Hi, please could someone let me know where I might find a second hand car to purchase. Could someone also let me know how car insurance works in Spain. Do you insure the car and not people?
What is the cheapest car insurance company?

Word of warning buying a second hand car here is not like the Uk, obviously you’ll see local cars for sale,definitely need to get it legally checked for debts, a bill of sale contract, current owners full details passport nie, non Spanish speaking get someone to do it for you, sellers who get referred are Autos direct FWR sorry can’t remember a few others ,insurance company I use Jennifer Cunningham not used them yet so maybe time will tell how good they are

We bought our car from Car Outlet in Ondora all done online with a 13 months guarantee they sent videos and photos of it inside and out from start to finish they were brilliant it came with a full tank of petrol and a week later we received a voucher to cover the cost of the petrol they used to deliver the car!

We were in the UK when we bought ours in Spain. We used www.carsinspain.es and they were fantastic. They are in Murcia but they dealt with all the paperwork, insurance etc and when we went to pick it up we just flew into Murcia airport and they met us there and drove us to their showroom where we completed the paperwork and picked up our car all at no extra charge. As we were back in the Uk when all our paperwork came through they posted it to us in the UK again at no charge at all. I'd highly recommend them.
