Buying a cheap runaround

Buying a cheap runaround

Postby Foz955 » Tue Apr 26, 2022 3:04 pm

Afternoon everyone,

I’m sure this has been posted before but we are looking to buy a cheap runaround. I understand car buying in Spain is more involved than in the UK so I’d probably buy from a dealer. Has anyone got any recommendations for a reliable English/English speaking dealer in the Rojales/Torrevieja area at the lower end of the market? Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks

Have a look on Facebook Market place, loads of run arounds on there, or try Autos Direct, San Miguel. Autos Direct do finance if needed.

Be prepared for a shock at the prices demanded for "cheap runarounds" in Spain.

It far from uncommon to find mega km sheds which you'd pay a few hundred quid in UK priced in the thousands in Spain.

Buy from someone who 'deals' in such junk and expect any warranty to last until your tail lights disappear round the first corner.

Yes you have some legal rights but enforcing them is something else!

Hi, We bought our cheap runaround from B & W cars in La Herrada. We would have probably paid under £1000 in the UK but it cost 3500 Euro in Spain. They are English speaking and do all the paperwork for you. They also give you a limited warranty. Good Luck.

Thanks for all your replies. Yes, we have checked out the market a bit and were using the word ‘cheap’ in relative terms!
