Car hire

Not having driven a manual car for years. Does anyone know where we can hire an automatic car local to Rojales
We don't drive from the airport. So it needs to be local. Help please.

You can get one from Opencar in Quesada high street, next door to Mulberry's near the petrol station. We use them all the time as we like to collect and/or drop off in Quesada.

Automatics, Jan? Interesting as I often see people wanting to hire automatics.

Sorry Guapa but what's your point? Am I missing something?

I did wonder if that's what you meant but I have found that most companies have a few automatics in their fleet. They are usually a bit more pricey to hire than the manual gear cars for some reason.

I just mentioned Opencar because we use them and I noticed they hire automatics and they are local but I think there are quite a few companies with automatics. I did check once when I was thinking of going to Quesada on my own but luckily my hubby drives a manual gear car (It's my excuse not to drive in Spain as like Silverlady I haven't driven a car with gears for years! )

My brother has hired an automatic from Opencar for the past 3 years so I can confirm they are available for hire with Opencar. It is available either from the airport or the office (he has done both).

Thank you. For all the replies. Great website for getting info. My daughter has nought an apt in rojales so we should be spending a lot of time there. I didn't want to have keep ordering taxis each time we go out. Thanks again for the replies

I know it's better to have a car for going out most of the time and in the evenings but, if for any reason you didn't have a car or didn't want to drive in the daytime, the buses are pretty good & regular (by Spanish standards ) from the Quesada Arches to Rojales and back, during the day. In fact we've found that Rojales has a much better bus service than Quesada and some of the other areas around us. Wouldn't like to chance them at night though as they usually stop running quite early.
