Car hire

My husband and I are coming over to pick up the keys for our holiday home at the start of November. We intend to hire a car from Alicante airport and wondered if someone could give us some recommendations. We done want to arrive at the airport and find that we have a lot of hidden charges. We are over for 3 weeks. Thanks in advance.

Just to warn you car hire has gone up in price with a massive jump compared to pre-pandemic.

Just got back from 3 weeks touring southern Spain and going to Portugal next month, prices have gone up a lot in both countries.

During the pandemic both the larger airport based firms and the smaller local firms offloaded sizeable parts of their fleet resulting in current shortages of cars causing huge hikes in prices... From speaking to people who have rented recently, Goldcar have been active again charging for damages that were non existant or pre-existing.. An expensive minefield I'm afraid..

Hi. We have used Aeroautos. They are based at the airport. You do have to get a 5 min bus ride to get your car. It was an excellent service with no hidden charges. There prices were very competitive also. Hope this helps.
