In my experience “cheap” cars start around 3000€. Spain is very expensive for used vehicles.

Plenty of cheap bargain cars around but you need to have a competent mechanic look it over before you buy I never pay more than 500 euros for my cars and they usually last me 3 to 4 years without any major outlay apart from ITV and insurance
