Disposing of UK car in Spain

We are travelling to Spain in our UK car.
Once we arrive we want to scrap the car as we own a Spanish car.
Is it possible to do this. Can any advise and recommend a scrap dealer?

look on Facebook plenty of scrap dealers looking for cars you should get a bit of cash for it and a scrappage cert

Bradley Breakers near Catral will come & give you a price. Take car & give the proper paperwork for scrapping it. They are on FB or Google.

Bradley Breakers are not a Catral anymore but the phone number will still contact them
but make sure you get the scrappage paperwork from them they are a wee bit lax on sending it out

I sold a UK car for scrap at an Auction (Lumsdens) in Formentera.
Did rather well with it too and achieved a much better price that had I taken it simply to a scrapyard.
Highly recommended, give it a try.

Andrew did you get a scrappage certificate from Lumsdens if not and you have not notified DVLA then you are still responsible for the car

Many thanks for your advice and concern, but having completed 40 yrs in the motor trade i was fairly well versed in the procedures required following disposal.
