Do I need to change my address for my Spanish car

Do I need to change my address for my Spanish car

Postby garyizme » Mon Apr 23, 2018 4:03 pm

Hello,

I sold my holiday house in El Galan in December and am renting in Quesada.(not sure how long for)
I own a Spanish car here
Do I need to inform anyone to do with my car registration of my change in address?
The suma is paid direct debit
The Ford garage where I bought my car new seems to be avoiding me

Many thanks
Gary

You may find that the SUMA will be a lot cheaper in Algorfa area than E Galan I would ask at the Suma office

As in England you are supposed to change your address and if you don't any fines etc will go to the old address and if not passed to you the amount payable will increase so if you take a chance it's up to you! I think Crispin comes under Algorfa so check for a Suma office in the area.

Change of address is done through trafico. Some town halls have a system to do it but Rojales isn't one of them. Go to citizens advice Spain for a full list of town halls that do it plus instructions on how to do it.
I'd give a link but I'm on holiday and can't do it from my phone.
