Dog Accommodation

Dog Accommodation

Postby Boradee49! » Sat May 11, 2019 4:56 pm

Hi, i am driving back to England in June, via the eurotunnel, and I am looking for accommodation in Spain and France where we can have stop overs with a dog. As anyone got any suggestions.

Thanks

If you go on booking.com and put in where you want to stay and you have a dog and the price you want to pay hotels will come up and you can choose the hotel you like also look at the reviews.

We usually drive out of Spain into France on the first night. Almost everywhere in France welcomes dogs, but its not so easy to find dog-friendly accommodation in Spain.

This is our favourite ‘dog friendly’ hotel
www.elvillacastejon.com
We always book direct as we found we got a better deal and because they know us now they usually offer us a little discount too, which is always nice to receive! They have the most beautiful gardens where I believe you can walk the dogs, but it looked a bit too posh for us and our 3 dogs! Instead we walked around the back of the hotel where there’s quite a large area for them to run free. They have a really nice buffet style restaurant with loads of choice; we usually book half board. Over the years we’ve tried numerous so called ‘pet friendly’ hotels but this one is definitely the best. Safe travelling :-)

We stay at the chain of motels called B+B, they accept dogs for around 3 euros a night extra, they also have a few in Spain, check them out on their website https://www.hotel-bb.com/en/hotels/book ... france.htm The newer ones which they have quite a few are really nice now, and the breakfast is very reasonable and is enough to start your day off. Our friends have just taken 3 dogs over and they stayed in an Ibis hotel in Perpignan

Depending which way you are going of course but we stayed in Conde Aznar in Jaca which is "doable" in a day (we came from there in one run) and it would be just before the tunnel through the pyrenees and into France. Very accommodating for us with our 3 dogs.
