Hi Nuts from Donna Pepa im Doug from Dona Pepa & when we came here 12 years ago we brought with us a Land Rover Discovery which we bought in the UK & on UK plates & once settled in Dona Pepa we asked around as to who we should use to do the transfer & we were told ORKE there office is on the left just as you drive into Montesinos we were asked to take the car to there office so they could check it & the paperwork out & were glad we did as our car we discovered came from Dubia so they told us yes we can do it but can we use the ITV in Murcia as we know it will be easier to get it done there & were glad we did & we were allowed to go with them on the day & while our car was being inspected they came across a problem as despite 6 of them looking all over our car to find its identification number stamped on the chassis & using soapy water & power wire brushes it could not be found so they were asked into the office there & after a discushion there head came out to our car & took photos of it all over & including the ID number stamped on the inside of the dash windscreen & our car was passed & new plates & licence & sticker applied, So we were glad we used them as they told us theres no way Torrievieja would have passed it. There still there so they must be doing something right, So thats why i recomend them.

Hi Paul, did they handle the whole process of importing the car?

You will have to buy the car yourself and arrange for it to come to Spain (drive it or have it transported), but once it's in Spain they can arrange all the required procedures and paperwork and they give you an estimation of the registration tax up front.

They also have local mechanics at hand if for example different headlights or other modifications are required for compliance with Spanish law.

You must realize however that if it is a UK registered car that because of Brexit you will have to pay import tax and VAT again in Spain (on top of the Spanish registration tax), which might make the whole deal very costly. If you buy a used car in another country within the EU you do not have to pay either of those.

Yes, once it's in Spain. They will fit new headlights & rearrange fog light (if required). They do the lot, excellent service. Speak to Leigh or get a quote.
