ITV near Quesada?

ITV near Quesada?

Postby Tjotte » Fri May 27, 2022 12:02 pm

Hi all.

Anyone know where I can find the nearest ITV-station, and if they have online booking?
If they do have online-booking, the www-adress would also be helpful.

TIA

If you speak fluent Spanish then the Torrevieja ITV station is ok.
I personally use the San Javier station, lovely staff, will speak English to you and will even take the keys and drive it through whilst you wait!!

San Bartolome will do all of that and unlike San Javier they carry out all parts of the test required if you car is registered in the Province of Alicante

jpeg could you please clarify your reply. My car is registered in Murcia. Will the Sanbartolome not test my car?and does San Javier not do a full check? The ITV is not due for a while, but as a non Spanish speaking non resident I need to plan around our visits. Thanks.

jpeg has posted it a couple of times. The ITV in Murcia does not do the same emissions test that the Valencia Region requires. You can, of course, have an ITV inspection anywhere and, with the new government controls pricing which doesn't apply in Murcia, could work out cheaper.

However, if you are stopped by the police for a documents check, they can insist you get the emissions test done. You won't be fined but, if stopped again, you may be as the emission test is necessary if your car is registered in the Valencia Region. It only costs about 6 or so euro for that test but would still mean booking at the ITV station in the region.

You say your car is registered in Murcia so would suggest you get the ITV done in Murcia. The ITV cost for my diesel car is almost doubling this year in the Valencia Region now the government has taken over the ITV stations which they haven't done in Murcia.

But there is no problem getting an ITV done in any region as they are all valid.

Oh, and the ITV station in Torrevieja is not opposite Habaneras. That's the fire station and I doubt the firemen would be too happy if you turned up there to get an ITV.
It's actually further up just after the roundabout for Hiperber supermarket on the Torreta III area.

Can someone please explain more please ? " The ITV in Murcia does not do the same emissions test that the Valencia Region requires "
So if i were to live in murcia & have my itv done there, as soon as i travel to the valencia region i could get stopped by the police & told to get an extra emissions test ?

No, I didn't say that at all. It's only if your car is registered at an address in the Valencia Region. If you live in Murcia then no.
